Healthy Food Makes You Feel Alive

Recently, a good friend and I entered a phase of watching another documentary film Friday night. It's nice and relaxing at the end of our work week to have a glass of wine, or in the case of my friend, bourbon and diet coke , and learn something that affects our lives . 
 In the last year , we look at everything imaginable food to religion. However, for the purposes of this article, let's talk about the food we eat , or maybe they thought we ate.
The awful truth , of course , most of the documentaries to do , the more you realize what exactly what is inside and what is in the foods we eat. You really wake up to the sad reality that a handful of large food manufacturers have gotten away with it with respect to the health and welfare of consumers ignorant.
Some of you may be well aware of what is happening with our food , and others not. I certainly learned a lot in the last year and hope some of the information below will help give some of you the opportunity to make more informed decisions .
Organic Food - A better option
Sales of organic fruits and vegetables have doubled in the past five years and for good reason . Some of the benefits are:
Your body can not fight disease, bacteria and viruses better when fed with organic food.Organic foods contain at least 50 % more nutrients , vitamins and minerals than non-organic food .
Organic food , avoid growth hormones into your body that are in many foods we eat, such as chicken .
Organic foods are lower in fat and helps fight and prevent obesity .Antibiotics in non-organic foods are a direct cause of allergies.
Fruits and vegetables not only avoid pesticides , but also taste better .
Organic foods protect against toxic metals such as cadmium, lead and mercury.
Organic food prevents estrogen dominance , which , although it is more common in women can also affect men , causing problems such as infertility , erectile dysfunction, enlarged prostate , and certain cancers.
If you are ready to do some shopping and creative cooking , you can enjoy the freshness and goodness of organic foods without breaking your food budget . These days there are plenty of places to buy organic food .  


Besides supermarkets, can be found in natural food stores , specialty stores , cooperatives, gourmet delis , farmers markets , to agriculture programs supported by the community, convenience stores and even vending machines . Here are some tips that can help you are:
Join a cooperative is a member-owned company is organic.
Join a buying club with others and buy in bulk to get discounts of up to 30 or 40 percent off .
When organic is for sale buying in bulk.
Buy fruits and vegetables in season and freeze .
When you enter a discount flyers stand to see what organic foods are in store sales .Clipping coupons you see in organic foods .
The secret to make sure you are buying organic fruits and vegetables is to read the labels :
If you have a 4-digit number , then produced conventionally and can be grown with fertilizers and pesticides.
If you have an initial 5- digit number with an "8 " when it is genetically modified . It's really scary for me , because I still do not know the negative impact it can have on our bodies.
If you have an initial 5- digit number with "9" , then it is organic and is the best for your body.
If you want to find organic food sources in your area just Google " organic and the city. " I think you'll be surprised what you see .
Shop at the Local Market
Farmers' markets are great sources of fresh local produce. A newly elected locally grown tomato tastes better than a tomato that has traveled 1500 miles before reaching the supermarket shelves .  


Also, the earlier you eat , as they are the most nutritious for your body. Ask the breeder if they grow organically , if not already displayed .
Farmers Ask lots of questions and do not be afraid to haggle with them for a better price ( especially if you buy in bulk) . Buy your local market also helps support your community and keeps booming.
Buy a share in a program of community supported agriculture ( CSA )
During the last decade , Community Supported Agriculture ( CSA ) has become a popular way for consumers to buy local, seasonal produce directly from a farmer. You can not get fresher than that .  


You become straight from the farm , often collected in the morning. Most are organic and usually have different drop off locations to pick up your bag of food .  

Most cost about $ 300 to $ 400 in advance for a week from 24 to 26 growing season. Not only will you support local farmers, but you get the best tasting , most nutritious food .
Grass Fed Beef - healthier and better taste too
Organic beef grass -fed beef is much healthier simply . The cows are not kept full of bacteria in feedlots ( conditions - human ) ( hi E. coli) , and no corn feed ( higher in unhealthy saturated fats ) and others do not eat foods that naturally . 


 Never given growth hormones ( in the discussion of human security ) to ripen faster than it would naturally.
It is well known that eating a cow eats affects the taste of the meat. Organic ground beef taste as better than normal meat .  


The tastiest meat comes from cows that eat only grass , as it is the natural food that a cow is supposed to eat . If you have not had a grass fed burger grill lately, you will be amazed by the taste.
Hormone -free chicken is healthy - or not ?
The chicken is very lean animal for food , which means having a lower fat and higher protein levels than other meat . 


 The USDA has banned poultry producers that give steroid hormones and the chickens , but producers are still without their hormones antibiotics daily which serve the same purpose as hormones - (! Say What ) to increase the rate of growth. So when you're in the supermarket and see chicken labeled " hormone-free " is more than likely an example of how misleading labels we believe it is safe (but not) .  

If you are concerned about the amount of antibiotics given to chickens , buying poultry and eggs marked with two labels on poultry and antibiotics added .
Soda Pop Side Effects
I go to her and I guess most of you already know how soda is terrible for us. It is sad that so many people are delivered without realizing what pop is very unhealthy . The following points explain how the effects of the common ingredients of soda :
Phosphoric Acid - weakens bones and teeth rot
Excessive artificial sweeteners makes you want more
Couleur Caramel - caramel Made purely cosmetic chemistry is that no flavor is contaminated with carcinogenic
Formaldehyde - carcinogenic , it is added to soft drinks , but when aspartame is digested , it will break in two amino acids and methanol = + formaldehyde formic acid ( diet soda )
Corn syrup , high fructose is a concentrated form of sugar, fructose from corn ( and 75% of food supermarkets) . Increased body fat , cholesterol and triglycerides , and also makes you hungry. ( My God! )
Potassium benzoate - preservative that can be decomposed into benzene in your body. Keep your drink in the sun and the carcinogen benzene =
Food coloring - brain function , hyperactive behavior , difficulty concentrating , lack of impulse control .
Need I say more on soft drinks ? Just drink in moderation for good health , ok .
Juice: The key to radiant health
When we saw the documentary "Fat , sick and nearly dead " wither Film Joe , I had no idea how many nutrients our body lacks food status . I also had no idea that the juice can consume optimal amounts of organic fruits and vegetables in an effective way to give your body what it needs to heal and stay healthy.
Cooking and processing food destroys the nutritional value by altering their shape and chemical composition. Almost all health authorities recommend we get 6-8 servings of fruits and vegetables per day. Juicing is an easy way to virtually guarantee you will reach your destination for vegetables. The only drawback is the cleanup.
